As intelligent or random as we want to be, which is a pretty broad gamut. News stories, pictures, random thoughts, or epic tales. Maybe all at once.

Tornadoes Touch Down in Area
Hugo Public Works Director Chris Petree said his family took shelter in the basement before the storm lifted his house off the ground and completely wiped out the second floor of the home.
"I put my daughter down first, my wife on top of her and then I bear-hugged on top of them," Petree said.

George Lucas, WHAT THE C**P WERE YOU THINKING?
Focus on the positive.
Focus on the positive.
The music was good.
It was a little iffy at first, but the dialog didn't stink.
The music was good.
Harrison Ford had a sense of humor about his age.
Shia LeBeouf was pretty good.
We liked the music.
Karen Allen was back.

FYI, fambly
Garage Sale Treasures
Of course I felt the need to add such musical classics as "Said Judas to Mary," "Locusts and Wild Honey," "I Danced in the Morning" and a whole pile of Haugen/Haas to our repertoire! (Or perhaps it was to prevent someone else from doing so. But I digress.)
Anyway, just as I was planning a quiet and appropriate demise
Squeaker happened to turn to the back and found THIS!
Yes, it's dance instructions for the Lord's Prayer choreographed "with the assistance of the Georgetown University Liturgical Dancers." According to the directions, these movements can easily be taught to the entire congregation. Any musical accompaniment "from folk to chant" is appropriate and as the community becomes very familiar with the moves, "they can even dance in silence as a kind of meditation." "The more the congregation repeats this dance, the more comfortable they feel with it..."
Gianna, don't you have a collection of like-minded books somewhere? Perhaps they can be safely stored together. In something lined with lead.
On a completely different note, I also found a commemorative plate featuring John Paul II and a chapel veil (thus restoring some semblance of balance to the day).

How does this stuff get through spam filters?
Request for your co-operation,
I am Mrs Martha Hamid and my only son Samuel Hamid. My husband, Major Gen. Dramane Hamid was assassinated in Darfour on a military mission in Sudan. My husband had TEN MILLION FIVE HUNDRED AND TWENTY THOUSAND UNITED STATES DOLLARS kept in a well concealed trunk box and deposited with a security company here in Abidjan. I want you to do me a favour to receive this fund to a safe account in your country or any safer place as the beneficiary. I have plans to relocate with my only son to overseas to continue his education and do investment in your country, like in real estate and industrial productions or any other profitable sector in your economy. This is my reasons for contacting you.
Please if you are willing to assist me and my only son, indicate your interest by replying me to our private email.
Thanks and God bless you.
Mrs. Martha Hamid.

Directive from Archbishop Flynn ends lay preaching at Mass
"It's not a question of a person's God-given talent. There may be better speakers, but this priest or deacon, we believe, has been ordained . . . for this sacred service," he said. "There is the power of the Holy Spirit that goes with him that doesn't go to just anyone who has been baptized."

Pentecost in my little corner of the world
- A respectable amount of incense
- The First Eucharistic Prayer!
- A homily that included things like "The Holy Spirit is working in ways we may not recognize. We cannot look at a situation and judge that the Spirit is not there." (No enthusiastic "amen" from the charismatic guy sitting behind us on this one.)
